Subscriptions Explained

What shared subscriptions are, what you receive, and the rules for using them.

CheapSubs lets you buy a single slot on a shared subscription plan — the same feature that services offer for families and groups, made available to everyone at a fair price.

The golden rules

Violating these rules may result in your access being revoked and your account being suspended. See our Acceptable Use Policy for full details.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly is a shared subscription?
Services like Netflix, Spotify, and Adobe Creative Cloud offer family or group plans with multiple seats. Sellers share unused seats with buyers at a proportional cost — often 50–80% less than a full solo plan.
Is shared subscription access legal?
Shared subscriptions sold on CheapSubs use the official family/group plan features offered by each service. This is distinct from account hacking or password sharing that violates a service's terms.
What do I actually receive?
Depending on the service: login credentials for a profile slot, a family/group invite link, or a sub-account invitation. The listing always specifies what you'll receive.
Will my personal data be visible to the seller or other members?
No. Sellers and other members on a shared plan cannot see your personal details, payment history, or CheapSubs account information.
What if the seller cancels the plan?
If your access is revoked for any reason within 14 days of purchase, you are entitled to a full refund under Buyer Protection.
How do I set up my profile on a shared subscription?
Follow the instructions provided in your order delivery. Most services let you personalise your profile (name, avatar, preferences) independently of other members.
Can I change my password on the shared account?
No — do not change passwords, plan settings, or account details on shared subscriptions. Doing so will affect other members and may result in your access being revoked without a refund.
