Safe Sharing
We treat credential security as a first-class concern — here's exactly how we protect you.
Shared subscriptions involve passing login details between strangers. We've built multiple layers of protection so that both buyers and sellers can transact with confidence.
End-to-end encryption
All credentials are encrypted before they leave the seller's device and can only be decrypted by the intended buyer. No one else — including CheapSubs staff — can read them in transit.
Encrypted at rest
Stored credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256. Even in the unlikely event of a database breach, raw credentials cannot be extracted.
Seller anonymity
Sellers never see your personal details, email address, or payment information. You never need to communicate your real identity to receive access.
Automatic credential rotation
Where supported, the platform prompts sellers to rotate credentials periodically, reducing the window of exposure for any single set of login details.
TLS everywhere
All traffic between your browser and our servers is protected by TLS 1.3. Credentials are never transmitted over unencrypted connections.
Your responsibilities
- Do not share the credentials you receive with anyone else.
- Do not screenshot or copy credentials to insecure locations.
- Report any suspicious activity immediately via the in-app message system.
- Use a strong, unique password for your CheapSubs account.
If you ever suspect that credentials you received have been compromised, open a dispute from your order page and we will issue a replacement or a refund.
